What to Wear On a Cabin Trip

Although cozy season is behind us, there is nothing like experiencing seasonal changes cozied up in a cabin in the woods. This past winter, I was dreaming of being snowed in at a cabin, hot cocoa in hand, fireplace going, and spending quality time with friends and family. I am so excited that I was able to partner with Hyundai to road trip in style and share what to wear on a cabin trip.

Deciding what to wear on a cabin trip is no easy task. It can be difficult to find a good balance of practical and fashionable items to bring, especially as the weather changes. However, you just need a few key pieces to prepare for a chic and cozy gateway.

From sweaters to updated puffers, below are a few ideas on what to wear on a cabin trip

Sweater Dress

For the ultimate chic comfy cabin look, snuggle up in a sweater dress. You can choose from an oversized look or a more snug and fitted knit. I went for an off the shoulder long oversized knit sweater. It keeps you chic while you partake in cabin activities in warmth. I walked around barefoot since this cabin had heated floors but I would pair it with some tall fitted boots if I had to go outside.

Sweat Suit

There is nothing like lounging around in comfy lounge wear after a long day of cabin trip activities. Although I personally prefer sitting by the fireplace and eating all day while on a cabin trip, the majority of my family and friends prefer trips filled with activities in the snow.  So anytime I get to lounge around, I am certainly making an occasion out of it.

Turtle Neck

As a timeless colder weather staple that goes with everything, a turtle neck sweater is a must have on a cabin trip. You can wear it on its own or layer it with a cardigan or a jacket for your outdoor activities. It is a versatile piece that can be worn for both casual and formal occasions. I normally pair it with denim for a casual look but this time, I dressed it up with a leather skirt and some pumps for a dinner party.

Puffers

A puffer coat is the holy grail of outwear for the colder months. There are a myriad of trends and styles to choose from in this style. You can go with a long puffer to layer with outfit, a puffer vest to pair your turtleneck or a cropped long sleeve puffer to pair with high rise pants. Complete your look with a warm color like cream or go with a more stand out color like red for a bold look.
